To celebrate the new edition of Ogdens’, Nice have commissioned 20 stunning-looking red wax Test Pressings to follow what labels did in the 1960s when very limited runs were pressed on colour vinyl (or as was then called“wax”).

This Test Pressing is made from the same metal stampers as the black vinyl LP will be pressed from. The stampers were made from lacquers cut at half-speed by Henry Rudkins at AIR Studios from Nick Robbins’ 2018 master of the original mono mix.The Test Pressings were all checked by Nick Robbins and Small Faces reissue producer Rob Caiger. The red wax gives slightly more bass response than the black vinyl Test Pressing, which Rob likes while Nick prefers the black vinyl. Decide for yourselves if you are one of the lucky ones to purchase this edition. 

Only 20 red wax Test Pressings exist and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Test Pressings will ship from 11 January 2026.
